Go Without Fear is based on the book Walking in the Footsteps of the Buddha by Zen monk, ecologist and trekking guide Maarten Olthof. He answers Buddha’s request that those wishing to know what Buddha was up to should make a pilgrimage to certain places. After several years of research and travel, Maarten walked the life path of the Buddha over a six month period. The film documents his journey during several years, trying to gather the cultural, ecological and spiritual moments, while helping to share the peaceful intention that many more will be able to walk in the footsteps of the Buddha, and Go Without Fear.
