A cinematographic journey in the world of mindfulness, in which the world-renowned Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh is central. He originally came from Vietnam and brought mindfulness to the West. As a spiritual leader he now lives in Plum Village, a community in southern France, where together with other Zen Buddhist monks and nuns he made mindfulness grow into a global phenomenon. Walk With Me offers access to this community where the lives of the Plum Village residents were followed for three years. Existential questions they face are addressed in their search for acceptance. The intuitive film is a meditation on a community devoted to living in the here and now. As the seasons pass by, the inner voyage of the monastics is reflected in insights from the early diaries of Thich Nhat Hanh. This documentary is narrated by none other than the charismatic, Oscar-nominated actor Benedict Cumberbatch (from Sherlock, among others).
