Xinyu and Tinghan are a wealthy, middle-aged Taiwanese couple consumed with grief over the loss of their only son many years earlier. With not much hope left, Xinyu decides to hire a monk to cleanse the household aura. Recently released from prison, Guo Yin is struggling to find his identity, but with only his past experiences to rely on, he soon decides to pull another con. Perhaps by sheer coincidence Cinyu meets Guo Yin, now masquerading as a monk. Guo Yin quickly forms a bond with Cinyu but her husband Timhan is unconvinced. Unaware that their guru is reluctant and under-qualified, the three go on playing their roles until a strange and unexpected turn of events forces each one of them to confront their deepest fears, loss, and ultimately, love.
